I shall say little today, mother. For I know that now, you know what is in my heart. Before you went alone and away, I knew that you only knew what I told you. So, I never said much; instead I always heard you. I never told you how much…

Yellow, Red, Blue and Green

Lights flicker as I look at the ceiling of my room.

These fairy lights, sometimes yellow, sometimes red, sometimes blue, sometimes green;

remind me of festive nights i spent with them,

of sharing little secrets,

of starting from the end,

and ending the beginning.

As…

The birds have rotten

They have forgotten their way

but where shall they reside?

In the lark’s shadow?

But the shadow…that is an illusion.

The birds have rotten

They smell like glutter

In a swamp so dark and cold

But the swamp….that is an illusion.

The birds have rotten

In…

I believe in eyes with joyful tears

I believe in smiles of blues

I believe who die at 20 and are buried at 80

I believe in the shattered hearts, broken pieces

I believe in hearts so big and the bodies too small

I believe in sad eyes and smiling…

This soul holds on secrets,

Secrets that are lies.

This soul holds on pain and scars,

Scars that are lies.

This soul holds on fear, the fear of being loved,

The fear which is a lie.

This soul holds on burdens,

Shackles that are burdens,

Burdens that are lies.

This soul holds on to what’s gone,

What’s gone is a lie.

This soul holds on to a talker,

A talker who is a liar.

This soul holds on fire,

A fire that is extinguished.

This soul holds on angels,

Angels that are lies.

This soul holds on love,

A love that is a lie,

Because this soul is a lie

In this age of reason, where rationality prevails emotion, one is bound to think, reflect and act in ways that are logical and sensible to the society. If we go a little back in history, starting from Socrates to Descartes, Russell, Kant, Popper, all have emphasized on reason and rationality…

Things can be so flaccid in life that one assumes it’s their mistake

But the beauty of this mistake is that it is bonded in love

The love that beholds the world together

The love that makes the heart warm

The love that exceeds all emotions

The love that heals sadness

But I ask Thee, where shall I find this love?

And Thee answer, in your heart.
